About Netbrain Integrated Solutions
A Johannesburg software company, building developer tools and applied AI since 2010. We help engineering teams deliver faster and with more confidence — through analysis that keeps codebases healthy, machine learning that makes it into production, and language models that speak South Africa's languages.
Netbrain Integrated Solutions (Pty) Ltd started from a straightforward frustration: most development tooling is either powerful and impossible to live with, or pleasant and unable to handle real work. We think that trade-off is a choice rather than a law, and everything in our catalogue is an argument for that position.
Sixteen years on we are still small — seven people — which is deliberate. It means the person who answers your question is usually the person who wrote the code.
What we work on
Two connected strands: tooling that makes JVM codebases easier to live with, and machine learning applied to problems that actually reach production — including language models for South African languages that most of the industry has skipped.
Alongside those we run one platform of our own: Veridix, which asks what a crowd collectively knows and whether that can be measured honestly. It is the same instinct as the rest of the catalogue, pointed at people rather than code — a forecast is either right or it is not. It is live and open to anyone at veridix.co.za.
-
JVM developer tooling
Static analysis for Java and Kotlin with a machine-learning engine behind the ranking — CodeRef for IntelliJ and BugBench for VS Code and Kiro — and SpringPod, lightweight monitoring for Spring Boot services.
-
Applied machine learning
Machine learning applied to code itself — the engine behind CodeRef that learns from the patterns your own team writes — built to run in production rather than in a notebook.
-
Language models
A siSwati large language model, part of our work bringing under-served African languages into modern natural language processing.
-
Platform APIs
An intelligent-agent compliance API covering KYC and AML workflows, and a cross-chain API for blockchain interoperability.
-
Market prediction
Veridix, our market prediction platform, exploring how collective intelligence and public sentiment shape verifiable outcomes. Live and open to the public at veridix.co.za; commercial use is arranged by enquiry.
How we work
We build for the long term, and in practice that means being easy to live with. Our tools are dependable and predictable, and when something does go wrong they explain themselves clearly rather than leaving your team guessing.
It also means you are never locked in. Your data stays in formats you can open without our software, nothing depends on a platform you are obliged to rent from us, and if you ever decide to move on, our tools come out of your systems cleanly. We would rather earn the next year of your business than trap you in it.
The same applies to our AI work, which we keep practical rather than speculative. In our developer productivity tools, machine learning studies the patterns your own team actually writes, so what the tool raises reflects your codebase and your conventions rather than a generic rulebook — which is the difference between advice a team acts on and advice it learns to ignore.
Our language work is the longer game. Bringing South African languages into modern AI is genuinely difficult, because the material simply is not lying around on the internet the way English is — it has to be gathered, cleaned and checked by people who speak the language. We would rather tell you that plainly than overstate what any model can do today.
Support
Every purchase includes direct support from the people who maintain the tool — there is no tier where you get a real answer and a tier where you don't. Questions about licensing, volume pricing or something you can't find in the catalogue are welcome.
